Privacy Policy
TypeCompass ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
- Your test answers: nothing. All questions are answered and scored entirely inside your browser. Your answers never leave your device, and we cannot see them.
- Email address and test result, only if you choose to submit your email through "Email me my report". We store your email together with your result type (for example, "MBTI ENFP") so we can send you the correct reading.
- Contact form details (name, email, topic, message), only if you choose to contact us.
- No tracking. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising cookies, or fingerprinting. The only thing saved in your browser is an optional referral code in local storage.
Why we collect it
- To email you your personality report when you request it.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To send occasional insights related to your personality type. Every such email includes a way to opt out.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone.
Where your data lives
Submitted emails are stored securely with our hosting provider, Vercel Inc. (servers in the United States). Emails we send to you are delivered through Resend. Contact form messages are relayed by FormSubmit and delivered to our inbox. Each provider processes your data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your rights under the PDPA
You may at any time:
- Withdraw your consent to receive emails from us.
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete your personal data.
To exercise any of these rights, email our data protection contact at hello@typecompass.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
TypeCompass is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
